Hair transplant

During a hair transplant, we use the technology known as Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE). Healthy and strong hair follicles are extracted from the back of the head and transplanted to the areas of hair loss, usually the front and top of the head. Due to the nature of thick and good hair follicles at the back of the scalp, they are generally resistant to hair fall and hence the results are very long lasting.

Am I suitable for FUE?

It is useful for both women and men who suffer from natural aging hair loss or medically known as androgenetic alopecia. FUE is suitable for those who have tried other methods such as hair products, oral medication and hair treatments but unable to yield the desired results or wishes to have further hair growth.

How many treatments do I need and how long does it take?

1 session is generally enough. Ii will take 5-10 hours depending on number of grafts.

Is there any downtime?

We will wrap a bandage on the back of your head after the treatment which can be removed after the first day. The forehead and back of the head will have minimal swelling and may persist for a few days. For first few days, some puffiness around the eyes may be noticeable. Bruising is less likely. Most are able to resume their routine activities the day after the procedure.

Is FUE painful?

Most indicate that the surgery was painless both during the treatment and throughout the post-op recovery period. At home, most people did not require any painkillers.

In the first few weeks after surgery, you may experience irritation, numbness, and slight tingling discomfort.
